وَرَق \ paper: the material on which we write (also used for packing, etc.): a sheet of notepaper; a paper bag. \ وَرَق (لِكِسَاء) الجُدْرَان \ wallpaper: paper, usually ornamental, that covers the walls of a room. \ وَرَق حَرير \ stencil: a sheet of metal, paper, etc. in which letters or patterns are cut, so that copies can be made by brushing ink or paint over it. \ وَرَق رسائِل \ notepaper: paper for writing personal letters. \ وَرَق زُجاج (وَرَق سَنْفَرَة) \ sandpaper: stiff paper, with sand stuck all over its surface for smoothing wood, etc.. \ وَرَق شَفَّاف للَّف \ cellophane: thin clear material, used for wrapping goods for sale, etc.. \ وَرَق الكَرْبُون \ carbon paper: black paper for making copies of writing. \ وَرَق مُقَوًّى (كرتون) \ cardboard: thick stiff material made of paper, used for making boxes, etc.. \ وَرَق ناعِم رَقِيق \ tissue: fine soft paper, used esp. for packing breakable things. \ وَرَقُ نَشَّاف \ blotting-paper: paper that sucks up ink.
